久々にSPRING NEWSLETTER 2008 がきましたので、紹介を・・・

SPRING NEWSLETTER 2008
Hello Everyone,
The championships this year were a time of joy. We had more people attending and more
vendors participating than ever before! The youth division was a smashing success.
Media coverage, despite the fact that it was Super Bowl weekend, was at an all time high.
I would like to give a special thanks to Ann Kaylan for her last minute fundraising efforts
for the party on Friday night and to all the studios that donated money. Congratulations to
the winners and to all the competitors. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the
championships.the organizers of the regionals, the coaches, and to the family and
friends who traveled from all over the world to support the competitors, the room was
twice as big as the previous year and yet all of the seats were almost filled to capacity
throughout the weekend. Thanks to our judges who came from all over the world, to
Lynn Whitlow for coordinating the regional championships, Craig Villani, for being MC,
and Ainslie Faust for managing the event. And of course, thank you to Mary Ann Nassa
for all that she does for me throughout the year and during the championships.
The events of 2008 have brought me a different outlook on life. I realize now, how
important my relationship with my parents is to me. My father had incredible wisdom
and taught me so much in my life. Now, I no longer have him nearby, to go to with my
problems and my questions, but I have his strength inside. I have to find the answers in
myself, yet I feel his spirit with me. This was the first year that he was not here for the
championships, however Lisa Johnson brought a beautiful memorial slideshow which
touched my heart and evoked his presence for me. I remember three years ago when he
told me that I was ready to find my inner strength. He knew that my strength lay in
community. His words brought me back to the original dream I had when we started
teacher training in 1994.a dream of a global yoga community.
Thank you for your condolences. Many of you sent flowers, cards, emails, and I received
many phone calls. I wouldn’t have been able to make it through this difficult time without
your love and support. As you know the championships came very close upon my loss.
only a few weeks latter, and I was only able to participate during this time of grief due to
the affection and care of my family and my larger yoga family.
Spring time brings a wonderful period of renewal and transformation, just as the butterfly
emerges from its cocoon, so we must find the things in our lives that we are ready to
dispose of, the things that weigh us down and keep us from a light, new beginning. It is
time to reshape your body and your will.
I’m sure you have all heard by now that teacher training has moved to the Fairmont
Acapulco Princess hotel in Mexico. We are sure that this new move will be a superlative
success. We will hold a recertification there on May 16, 17, and 18. Please check the
website for more details.

Welcome to My Blog!

When I worked at a company, I suffered from depression. Therefore I wanted to study yoga, and I went thru the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Fall of 2006.
